Xbox has released a statement regarding Xbox Game Studios, and the potential impact COVID-19 could have on the development of first-party titles.
Head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty said in a statement to Gamespot that the safety of development teams at XGS is "our top priority." Officially, nothing has been said about delays to potential games; however, Booty states that various studios under the Xbox Game Studios arm are facing difficulties depending on location. External developers also being impacted by the Coronavirus. Booty says that Xbox is supporting its studio heads and encouraging them to make decisions that are correct for their teams and games during the pandemic.

"We know that gaming connects people during times of social distancing, and we are committed to delivering the highest quality Xbox Game Studios games for our global community of players. At the same time, the health and safety of our XGS development teams is our top priority. Each studio is facing unique challenges and constraints depending on its particular location, and many of our external development partners around the world are similarly affected. We are supporting our studio leaders to make the right decisions for their teams and their individual games during this challenging time."Although nothing has been officially announced regarding delays for any of Xbox's first-party games, developers are beginning to understandably feel the pressure under these unique circumstances. Mojang has said that its upcoming game, Minecraft Dungeons, could be delayed due to the team now working from home.
