Wasteland 3 has been delayed from May 19th until August 28th. According to a statement from studio head of inXile entertainment, Brian Fargo, the company has come up against logistical challenges due to the COVID-19.

The statement from Fargo reads, "As with most companies, we moved to a work from home environment some weeks ago, and that's, of course, introduce new challenges that many of us throughout the world have been learning to manage. We've been excited to see the Wasteland 3 beta so well received, but the reality is that with these new logistical challenges our release was going to be impacted."

Fargo goes on to say that inXile has a great relationship with both Microsoft and Deep Silver and that both companies are supporting them. The extra time will be put into working on Beta feedback and suggestions, "We're pouring our hearts into this game, and the last thing we want is to have anything but an amazing launch for a product we truly believe in," says Fargo.

Wasteland 3 will now release on August 28th, 2020. The RPG is launching into both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC.
