Minecraft Dungeons delayed until May due to Coronavirus

By Sean Carey,
Mojang has announced that Minecraft Dungeons will no longer release in April and has been delayed until May 26th. A post over on the Minecraft website states that due to the current global situation caused by COVID-19, the team can no longer meet the planned April release window.

The post reads, "As you all know, we initially planned to release Minecraft Dungeons by the end of April. However, due to the current state of the world, this was no longer possible, as we wanted to guarantee the health and safety of our teams, and empower them to deliver the best possible experience to you, our players."

The Minecraft Dungeons team did announce earlier this month that the game could suffer a delay due to employees having to work from home and their workflows being impacted.

Minecraft Dungeons will now launch on May 26th on Xbox One, PS4, Windows, Nintendo Switch and is coming to Xbox Game Pass.
