UPDATE: The Saints Row: The Third Remastered rumours were true. Deep Silver has officially announced the remaster, and it comes to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 22nd. The publisher has also dropped a new trailer for the game where you can see all of the enhanced visuals, including a new lighting engine and improved environments and character models. The game will also include all of the DLC that was released for the original.
ORIGINAL STORY: A remastered version of Saints Row: The Third could be making its way to consoles and PC shortly. A newly discovered listing from the Entertainment Software Rating Board details a remaster of the Xbox 360 classic.
The ESRB listing is titled, "Saints Row: The Third Remastered" and is coming to the Xbox One, Windows PC and PS4 with a rating of "M" for Mature. The game's rating summary says, "Players can also use chainsaws to hack at enemies, resulting in small chunks of flesh and large splatters of blood. Damage from certain guns can result in decapitation," and "During the course of the game, female characters are sometimes depicted in outfits that reveal large amounts of their breasts/cleavage or buttocks; characters are occasionally depicted nude." It should be noted that Koch Media has not made an official announcement for the remaster.
A now-removed store listing over on the website, Gamefly, detailed the title as being released on May 7th.
Volition's Saints Row: The Third was released for the 360 back in 2011 and published by the now-defunct THQ. The game was well-received by both critics and players. Here on TA, Saints Row: The Third sits with a 4.14/5 and received three DLCs in its lifetime. The title was included in Xbox Game Pass up until January when it was removed
