Vote now for May 2020's TA Playlist game

By The TA Playlist Team,
You've had your chance to taste Spacer's Choice and roam the galaxy in The Outer Worlds, now it's time to visit a different galaxy entirely for May.

May the 4th is a special date in the heart of many, closely followed by Revenge of the 5th. Needless to say, this month, we've prepared a list of Star Wars games for you to choose from! So get out your plastic lightsabers and get ready to fight some sith! Or join the dark side in the process. Here are May's playlist games to get you hyped about space wars:

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

The oldest game on the list this month, originally released all the way back in 2008 is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. In this game, set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, you play as Starkiller, a secret apprentice of Darth Vader himself. Your job is to hunt down Jedi while killing rebels and Imperials alike, in order to hide your existence from the Emperor.

A game full of decent Force physics and an interesting story (leading to a sequel as well), albeit now a part of the Legends continuity, there is also an excellent walkthrough here on-site written by AllChristophe.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most recent LEGO Star Wars game and well-rated on site (4.19 stars out of 5 according to you all). As is standard with LEGO games, expect the game to follow the plot of A New Hope The Force Awakens with LEGO's own usual humorous twist.
If you get stuck looking for mini-kits or gold bricks, we have a great walkthrough on-site, written by none other than our former News Manager, Sam (aka Kintaris).

Star Wars Battlefront II

Multiplayer Promo

The new Battlefront II made by DICE, not the original, before anyone asks (although that was an incredible game too). After a very rough start, including Reddit's most downvoted comment in history, many updates and changes have since been made, and the game is now a solid shooter with some great experiences. The game itself is also beautiful, as with many of the games on this list Star Wars Battlefront II is also included in the EA Access Vault, so if you have EA Access, you'll be able to play this for free.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order review

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the latest Star Wars game to enter the franchise and arguably one of the best Star Wars games made in recent times. You play as Cal Kestis, a Jedi in hiding who survived the Jedi Purge and being ruthlessly hunted by the Empire and its Inquisitors. Explore a number of worlds in great detail, including Kashykk and Dathomir. We have a walkthrough on-site written by FreeEdgar in case you get stuck while looking for all the chests and other collectables.

Is there a different Star Wars game that you hoped to see in the line-up? Are the prequels movies really better than the sequels? Do you like sand? Does our playlist member, Chewie, really rip off people's arms? All of these questions will be answered in our TA Playlist Hub, so be sure to stop by to talk about all things Star Wars in the upcoming days.

We'll see you next time, nerf herders!

The TA Playlist is a monthly community event. Everyone votes on which of four games to play, and then we all play through it in the following month. There's a dedicated hub to discuss everything about the game, from story beats to gameplay tips – and of course, you can track your achievement progress during the month as well. TA Playlist was created by Mark Delaney and is now run by Miles, Nici and Chewie.
