Call of Duty: Warzone update adds a sniper rifles and shotguns only mode By Sean Carey, 15 Apr 2020 CommentsA new update has rolled for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone that adds a number of new game modes to both titles and makes some slight gameplay tweaks. For Modern Warfare, we have the usual Playlist Update. Drop Zone has been added for both standard and Hardcore modes and replaces Deathmatch Domination. The 10v10 "Stir Crazy" playlist has also been introduced with modes such as Cranked, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Hardpoint. This playlist is also available in Hardcore mode with Team Deathmatch instead of Hardpoint. In Warzone, the standard battle royale Trios mode has been replaced with something a little different. Scopes and Scatter Guns limits players to only using sniper rifles and shotguns. This should radically change up gameplay and brings a refreshing twist to the battle royale. Armoured trucks have also been removed from Solos (Thanks, VG247). Trucks can be an incredibly dangerous weapon. They can soak up a tonne of damage and can easily take down players caught out in the open. The number of players using the truck as a weapon in Solos has become such an issue that the developers have decided to remove the vehicle from the mode. This was confirmed by Amos Hodge from Raven Software via a tweet: In other Call of Duty: Warzone news, Infinity Ward has now banned over 70,000 players from the game who have been caught cheating. The game has now also seen over 50 million players check out the battle royale mode.Game UpdateXbox One Written by Sean CareySean joined the team as a Staff Writer for both TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies in 2019.
