Respawn removes Nighttime Kings Canyon from Apex Legends map rotation By Heidi Nicholas, 16 Apr 2020 CommentsThe Apex Legends devs have been taking on player feedback about the addition of map rotation, and have now announced that they'll be removing Nighttime Kings Canyon, as well as shortening the length of time for which the regular version of Kings Canyon will be available. They mention in a reply that they're "hoping this will allow players the chance to keep grinding that Season 4 Battle Pass or try their skills at the new Bloodhound Town Takeover." Respawn announced the permanent addition of a map rotation for Duos or Trios on King's Canyon and World's Edge last week, alongside the Town Takeover, which is themed around Bloodhound's experiences with the Old Ways rite of passage. The Town Takeover is part of The Old Ways Lore Event, which also kicked off last week and continues until April 21st, with an event-exclusive Prize Track, new cosmetics, and the return of some Legendary Hunt Skins. The Town Takeover essentially pits players against prowlers for high-tier rewards. Respawn describes the event, saying, "When the Apex Games came to World’s Edge, large predators vacated the area, leading to an explosion in the prowler population. Most were traced to a nest in the northwest portion of the arena, and here, Bloodhound saw an opportunity: maintain the ecosystem by pitting humans against beasts". They also add that players should "beware the most dangerous game: fellow Legends who want to scavenge those goods for themselves."Respawn adds that even though they're removing Nighttime Kings Canyon and shortening the availability of the regular Kings Canyon, that it's still available in Ranked.Xbox One Written by Heidi NicholasHey, I'm Heidi!
