EA says there's "one more standalone update" for Battlefield V after Chapter 6 ends

By Heidi Nicholas,
EA has updated provided an update for Battlefield V fans on the future of the game: after Chapter 6 ends this month, there'll be "one more standalone update this summer".

Battlefield V

Chapter 6, Into the Jungle, ends later this month, on April 29th. The update from Ryan McArthur, the game's Senior Producer, says that there's "one more standalone update" after that, which will include new content and weapons. The update's planned for June, but the team are still "tackling the challenges from working from home", so that June release window might shift.

After the content update, there'll be weekly rewards of Battlefield Currency or Company Coin, along with the continuation of events, activities, and the Community Games Updates. The Battlefield V team also remain committed to anti-cheating work: "discussing technical detail into our methods may unfortunately make cheating worse, but we want you to know that we’re constantly fighting the battle."

Aside from the fact that it'll have new weapons and content, the announcement doesn't share too much about what to expect from the update. There'll be more info on it during the summer, and we'll keep you updated.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
