Destroy All Humans! gets a July release date and new trailer

By Heidi Nicholas,
The remake of the cult classic Destroy All Humans! now has a summer release date, courtesy of a new trailer. Crypto-137 returns just a few months from now, on July 28th, and pre-orders of the game are now available.

"Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest DNA and bring down the US government in the remake of the legendary alien invasion action adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities." The trailer shows off a range of these abilities, which also include psychokinesis powers and an Abducto Beam.

Last year, we heard that Destroy All Humans! was getting two special collectors editions, one of which was priced at a hefty $399.99/£349.99/€399.99, but along with the release date comes an announcement of some lower-priced pre-orders. Destroy All Humans! can be pre-ordered for $39.99 on the Microsoft Store, which gets you early access 48 hours before the game launches, as well as the Skin Pack: "Dress Crypto up as the King of Rock and Roll, an evil Clown and more".

Destroy All Humans! releases on July 28th. We got the Destroy All Humans! achievements through today, if you'd like a glimpse at what you'll be up against in July.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
