Halo 2: Anniversary joins Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC next week

By Heidi Nicholas,
Just a few months after Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary joined Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, Halo 2: Anniversary is scheduled to join Halo MCC on PC next week, on May 12th. It'll be available in Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Halo 2: Anniversary is the next step in the march of Halo MCC over to PC, and should be followed throughout the year by the remaining Halo titles, before culminating with the arrival of Halo 4 later in 2020. 343 Industries has been careful with this move, allowing time for extensive testing for each addition, and the Halo team confirms Halo 2: Anniversary has been optimised for PC. Halo 2: Anniversary entered the first testing phase back in April, just over a month after the addition of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Hopefully, this means testing for Halo 3 could begin sometime in June.

"Witness the Master Chief’s return to Earth to prevent the Covenant invasion, leading to a battle with long-hidden secrets that will dramatically alter the course of the Human-Covenant Conflict forever." Halo 2: Anniversary arrives on PC for Halo: The Master Chief Collection next week, on May 12th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
