Vote now for June 2020's TA Playlist game

By The TA Playlist Team,
After spending the last couple of months exploring different galaxies, even those far far away, we've decided to give you a variety of games to choose from this time. For June, we've gone for a "Second Chance" month. All the choices you see below are games that have been runners up in at least one previous TA Playlist. We had lots of amazing titles to choose from and tried to balance out the games, so there isn't one completely left behind in votes. Without further ado, here are the games fighting for your vote:

Control

Control initially appeared in the April 2020 TA Playlist, as part of the Game of the Year theme.

Control is a third-person shooter game from Remedy Entertainment, the creative minds and studio behind Quantum Break and Alan Wake. With a rating of 4.39 out of 5 on-site, it's safe to say that it follows in the footsteps of those two games.

You play as Jesse Faden, the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Control. It's up to you to explore the Oldest House – the FBC's paranormal headquarters – and utilize your abilities to defeat a deadly enemy, known as the Hiss, which has invaded and corrupted reality. Loved by many, including Mr TA himself, it's a supernatural adventure that's surely worth a vote.

Doom

DOOM ~ TitledHeroArt

Doom first appeared in the August 2019 TA Playlist, as part of the franchise sequels theme.

Doom returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you're obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.

Watch_Dogs

Watch_Dogs first appeared in the January 2019 TA Playlist, as part of the Games with Gold open-world games theme.

Set in a fictionalized, open-world version of Chicago, you play as Aiden Pearce, a hacker in search of revenge after his niece is killed. Use your phone to control traffic, infiltrate security systems, jam calls for backup, empty the bank accounts of random civilians, find out little details of everyone's private life and maybe reconsider your own digital security while you're at it!

Mass Effect 2

ME2 characters

Mass Effect 2 initially appeared in the February 2020 TA Playlist, as part of the Bromance theme.

As Commander Shepard, you will recruit an elite team of the galaxy's most dangerous and skilled experts, and lead them on an assault into the most dangerous area of the galaxy - from which you might not return. Is this a suicide mission, or can you prove them wrong?

To finish off the Mass Effect 2 achievement list, players will have to keep an eye on all of their relationships – only a truly dedicated crew will survive.

Which game is worthy of a second chance? One of these four will be the TA Playlist game for June, and they're all relying on your vote to get that spot. Any other games you feel deserve a second chance? Let us know in the comments below!

The TA Playlist is a monthly community event. Everyone votes on which of four games to play, and then we all play through it in the following month. There's a dedicated hub to discuss everything about the game, from story beats to gameplay tips – and of course, you can track your achievement progress during the month as well. TA Playlist was created by Mark Delaney and is now run by Miles, Nici and Chewie.
