UPDATED: The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game is free to download and keep

By Sean Carey,
UPDATE: TT Games has officially announced that The Lego Ninjago Movie Game is free up until May 21st. However, the Microsoft Store is still saying the game will be available to download for only a couple of hours more. It's probably best to jump on this one while you can, just to be sure. TT Games has also said that the game can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store and Steam.

ORIGINAL STORY: Microsoft is currently giving away The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game for free, but for one day only. We aren't sure why the game is listed for no cost, but the Microsoft Store does state that the offer will only last up until May 16th, so get downloading!

The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game is supposed to be leaving Xbox Game Pass today along with several other titles, including Doom, Metal Gear Survive, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and more. This offer is open to everyone and not just those who subscribe to Game Pass.

The action-adventure title currently sits with a 3.71/5 from the TA community. Our own Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game review gave the game a 3.5/5, praising the new combat mechanics and the Battle Arenas. However, unlike some of the other Lego titles, this one is a fair bit shorter with an estimated completion time of around 15-20 hours.

The game looks to be free across all regions and will be yours to keep. If you don't own this one now is the time to grab it. You have up until May 16th to do so.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in as a news tip.
