World of Tanks: Valor Xbox 360 servers to close in July — unlock those achievements now

By Sean Carey,
Wargaming.net has announced that servers for World of Tanks: Valor (Xbox 360) are due to close next month, meaning you have just a short amount of time to grab any achievements from the game you don't have unlocked.

Those with accounts on the Wargaming.net website received an email explaining the reason for the closure. Wargaming.net said, "For over six years, World of Tanks: Valor has been available as a free to play title on the Xbox 360. As we look towards the future, there are many exciting new features planned for the game. To ensure we are providing these improvements on the newer generations of console, we will end support of the Xbox 360 version of World of Tanks.

"Our Xbox 360 players are some of our most loyal and dedicated players, and we will not be leaving their accomplishments unrewarded. If you are currently playing on Xbox 360, please reach out to our Customer Support team. They will be more than happy to assist you in transitioning your account on newer generations of consoles."

The end of support for Xbox 360 will occur on July 21st 2020 at UTC 00:00, and the Xbox 360 client will no longer be accessible."

Support ending for the Xbox 360 version will likely discontinue the game's entire achievement list including its various title update DLC achievements. Head over to the World of Tanks: Valor (Xbox 360) achievement list to view them all.

As pointed out by lightsup55 in the forums, nearly all of the Xbox 360 World of Tanks: Valor achievements will retroactively unlock if you've played the Xbox One version of the game. Check out lightsup55's handy forum post that details which ones will unlock.

If you're looking to go for the full completion, several World of Tanks: Valor Xbox 360 Gaming Sessions for the game are currently up and running.

Servers for World of Tanks: Valor (Xbox 360) will close on July 21st.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in as a news tip.
