When Ubisoft announced Rocksmith
back in March, they stated at the time that they hoped to have a bundle available for the title that included an actual guitar, though they hadn't worked out the details just yet.
Today, Ubisoft announced that such a deal has been struck and, come the game's fall release, players will have two purchase options for Rocksmith
. Option one will be the standard edition of the game, which will retail for $79.99. Why the higher-than-normal price? That's because it includes the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable, a "unique 1/4-to-USB cable... developed exclusively for Rocksmith
[which] converts the guitar's signal from analog to digital, allowing it to be recognized and played through video game consoles and Windows PC".
Option two is the $199.99 Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar bundle. Along with the cable and the game, this bundle, obviously, comes complete with a guitar.Rocksmith
is scheduled for release this September. You can check out a partial setlist for the game right here
