Players who jump into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are being greeted with a Black Lives Matter message before loading into the game.

Modern Warfare and Warzone Black Lives Matter message

A small update released last night now presents players with a black screen and the following message before selecting a game mode: "Our community is hurting. The systemic inequalities our community experiences are once again centre stage. Call of Duty and Infinity Ward stand for equality and inclusion. We stand against racism and injustice our Black community endures. Until change happens and Black Lives Matter, we will never truly be the community we strive to be."

Infinity Ward recently announced news measures to tackle racist content in Modern Warfare, including adding additional in-game reporting systems and increasing the number of permanent bans. Season 4 in Modern Warfare and Warzone has also been delayed in a show of solidarity towards protests, and the Black Lives Matter movement.
