The Coalition has a new studio head. Mike Crump, the former director of operations at the studio, has now taken over at the top according to his LinkedIn profile page which was updated back in May.

Mike Crump Studio Head of The Coalition

Mike Crump takes over the role from former studio head Rod Fergusson who left The Coalition back in February to join Blizzard and oversee the Diablo franchise. Fergusson, who had been with the Gears franchise since it's inception in 2005, said it was "bittersweet" leaving the studio, and it was time for a new adventure.

Crump has been with the studio since 2015 and has overseen popular Gears titles such as Gears of War 4, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Gears 5 and Gears Tactics in his role as director of operations.

No official announcement has been made by The Coalition regarding Crump's new role.
