Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time officially revealed, pre-orders available now

By Sean Carey,
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has now been officially revealed, along with an October 2nd release date. The trailer shows off new worlds, chase sequences, with Coco and Doctor Cortex appearing as playable characters.

It's set after the events of the original trilogy, with the description reading: "Neo Cortex and Dr. Nefarious Tropy have escaped their interdimensional prison and in doing so have fractured the boundaries of time and space. It's up to Crash and Coco to save the day." There'll be four new "Quantum Masks", each granting a new power. You'll have to combine these to "restore order to the multiverse". There will be new worlds, bosses and abilities, along with the return of chase sequences.

Lead writer James Mattone says the game features a "re-imagined and updated art style", and that some of Crash and Coco's new abilities will include wall running and rope swinging. It seems there'll be other "familiar faces" to play as alongside Cortex, which will give you an "alternative perspective on how our bandicoot heroes are saving the world".
