By Sean Carey,
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will be re-released later this year for consoles and PC according to a new report from Venturebeat.

Armed and Dangerous

Venturebeat's report details a list of games from EA that are coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. During the EA Play Live event, the company revealed that seven new games would be launching for the Switch, including Apex Legends, Burnout Paradise, FIFA 21 and Lost in Random. This leaves three more unannounced games. Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neigborville and a game from Velan Studios are believed to be another two. The remaining game is said to be a remaster of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, which is also coming to other consoles and PC, according to VentureBeat.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was released on the Xbox 360 back in 2010. Developed by Criterion, the game is considered one of the best entries into the Need for Speed franchise. The game brought in features from the Burnout franchise, which made for great reviews from critics. Here on TA, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has a community rating of 3.89/5.

Of course, until EA confirms the remaster, it's worth taking this one with a pinch of salt. If we hear anything in the coming months, we'll update you.
