Fallout 76 gets public teams today and kicks off Season One By Heidi Nicholas, 30 Jun 2020 CommentsSeason One of Fallout 76, The Legendary Run, starts later today. The game is already offline in preparation for the update, which will also add in public teams. The update will show Public Teams in the Social Menu. Each Public Team will have up to four members, and will have its own Team Goal — including hunting, roleplay, events, exploration, building, and casual — so you'll be able to choose a Team with a similar goal to your own. The game's map will also show you where all the Public Teams are. If you prefer, you can also create your own team and set your own team goal. Each goal has its own buff: bonus XP for legendary kills if you choose hunting, for example. You can change the goal whenever you like, and boot people out of your team. Also arriving with the update is Season One, The Legendary Run. It's boardgame-themed, and will run for around ten weeks. "As Captain Cosmos, you will race the evil Dr. Zorbo across the galaxy," says Bethesda. "Your progression through the Season will be represented as pieces on a game board. Can you beat Dr. Zorbo to the finish line?" The season has 100 Ranks with associated rewards like Atoms and cosmetics — with a special reward on certain levels — and you'll rank up by earning S.C.O.R.E. through Daily and Weekly Challenges. Rewards also include in-game currency, Perk Card Packs, consumables, and new rewards like the Lunchbox consumables, the Ammo Converter unlocked at Rank 5, the Vault-Tec Supply Packages, fireworks, Glow in the Dark Wallpaper, new weapon skins, and new power armour sets. The update, with Season One and Public Teams, will go live later today.Xbox One Written by Heidi NicholasHey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
