"Virtual music festival" Fuser gets a new gameplay trailer; pre-orders now available

By Heidi Nicholas,
Fuser is a "virtual music festival" game from Harmonix. Until now, it wasn't too clear how this would work but the new gameplay trailer shows how you'll "mix the hits" and "master the stage".

You'll be tasked with mixing beats, bass, and vocals, and the gameplay trailer shows how you'll need to decide specifics such as tempo and key. You'll also need to keep the crowd entertained, and perhaps take requests, while earning points for good timing and completing objectives. It looks as though you'll have a variety of detailed controls over music options, and the game will have over 100 songs to offer. You can share mixes online, and unlock new songs, gameplay options, and cosmetics as you go. There's also a campaign mode, a freestyle play mode, and multiplayer modes.

Pre-orders are now available, with the game itself set to release in Fall. The standard edition is priced at $59.99/£59.99, with a pre-order bonus of three extra songs (Dua Lipa's New Rules, Khalid's Young Dumb & Broke, and The Killers' Mr. Brightside) as well as the "Polytech" Theme Pack. The VIP is a little pricer at $99.99/£99.99, and includes the game, 25 extra DLC songs, the Gilded Rabbit Helmet, the FUSER Fest Outfit, the Remix Runner Outfit and the Shatterfall Stage Video Pack.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
