Ghost Recon Breakpoint gets AI teammates next week

By Heidi Nicholas,
Ubisoft confirmed that Ghost Recon Breakpoint will get AI teammates on July 15th.

There will be three teammates — Fury, Fixit, and Vasily — whose physical attributes, gear, equipment and costumes will be customisable. They will match and adapt to your playstyle as needed, becoming stealthy or aggressive as you do. You'll be able to give them four different orders: Regroup, Hold, Go To, or open fire with Cleared Hot. Teammates will mark enemies and attempt to revive you when you're in trouble. They'll each have an assault rifle and their own primary weapon.

Ubisoft Forward also showcased the upcoming Resistance live event, running for two weeks from July 16th to July 29th. It'll have new missions, unique rewards, and offers you the chance to "help the resistance":

Ghost Recon Breakpoint had somewhat of a mixed reception, with Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot crediting this reception as one of the factors behind the decision to delay Watch Dogs: Legion and Gods & Monsters. AI teammates are one addition fans have been requesting for some time, so it'll be interesting to see how the game is impacted when the update arrives on July 15th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
