Indie Games Summer Uprising Revealed

By Michelle Balsan,
Just this past winter, several Indie game developers put their heads together and launched the "Indie Games Winter Uprising". The purpose of this event was to raise awareness about the Indie titles available through XBLIG and to help Indie game developers make a buck or two.

Well, the event was apparently so successful that it's coming back for a second run. Right now, the "Indie Games Summer Uprising" is in its early phases and is presently accepting nominees for inclusion in the event. A tentative schedule was also released.

June 27th - Absolute last day for nominees.
July 4th - Voting begins.
July 18th - Voting ends.
August 1st - Ideally you'll be submitting your game into peer review close to this date.
August 22nd - Promo begins.

So, for any of you who are aspiring programmers, you have just over 11 days to get in on the action, if you desire. For the rest of us, we'll keep an eye toward the voting to determine which games will get to take part in this iteration of the event.

Submissions for inclusion to the event may be entered here. Check out the present nominee list here.
