Project xCloud adds touch controls for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice ahead of full launch By Sean Carey, 04 Aug 2020 CommentsXbox has begun adding touch controls to Project xCloud. Back in March, the company revealed that it was working on touchscreen controls for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Now they are finally here and ready to be tested out in the Project xCloud preview. As you can see from the screenshots above, the game can be played using two virtual analogue sticks and virtual buttons on the screen. For menus, a virtual D-pad is displayed instead. I played a small section of Hellblade and found the controls work well — although the analogue sticks were a little too sensitive for my taste.Xbox spoke more about virtual control schemes during a recent Microsoft Game Stack Live stream and revealed that touch controls are being developed for Gears 5. During the stream, a variety of different gameplay clips were shown, which were all played with a new unique touch control system. We could see more games receive touch control support in the run-up to Project xCloud's full launch in September. Project xCloud will launch this September in 22 different countries for Android devices. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is available to play in xCloud with touch controls now.XCloudIndustry News Written by Sean CareySean joined the team as a Staff Writer for both TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies in 2019.
