Slime Rancher has now sold over three million copies

Slime Rancher has reached a new milestone, with developers Monomi Park announcing that the game has sold over three million copies.

"It started as just one brave adventurer setting out to explore the Far, Far Range. Today, we’re proud to announce Slime Rancher has sold over 3 million copies! Thank you for sharing this incredible journey with us," says Monomi Park.

Slime Rancher saw Beatrix LeBeau pack up her life and head to the Far Far Range to be - you guessed it - a slime rancher. The trailer above notes the hugely positive reception Slime Rancher has enjoyed since it launched three years ago, and the content packs it's had since then, adding everything from style packs to helper bots. That hook of starting fresh and building from the ground up seems to be just as irresistible as ever, especially when it's as colourful and cute as Slime Rancher. You only need to look at games like My Time at Portia and Ooblets for further proof of that.

"Thank you for sharing the story of Beatrix LeBeau with us," says Monomi Park.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
