Xbox Game Pass now has over 15 million subscribers

By Sean Carey,
Amid all the excitement of the Bethesda acquisition, Microsoft revealed that the number of Xbox Game Pass subscribers has risen sharply in the past six months. Xbox Game Pass across console and PC now has 15 million subscribers — an increase of five million in just six months.

Xbox Game Pass 15 million subscribers

Back in April, Microsoft reported that the service had reached 10 million subscribers. The new figure of 15 million shows a huge 50% increase in the number of people signing up to the service. It shouldn't come too much as a surprise, though. Microsoft has been pushing Xbox Game Pass hard in recent months. Many would consider Game Pass as the best deal in gaming, especially with the announcement of EA Play and Cloud Streaming coming to the service at no extra cost for Ultimate subscribers.

This figure will probably continue to rise, especially with Xbox All Access deals including two years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with a new Xbox Series X/S console. Picking up an Xbox Series S and two years of Game Pass Ultimate for just $24.99/£20.99 a month is a pretty appealing offer, and one many probably won't be able to refuse.

With Bethesda now falling under the Xbox Games Studio banner, we'll surely see some of its best titles come to Xbox Game Pass too, which should make the service even more attractive. Everyone wants to play Skyrim again, right?
