Xbox Series X/S SSD expansion now up for preorder from Microsoft

By Luke Albigés,
We reported earlier today that preorders had started to pop up for the Seagate SSD expansion cards for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The 1TB proprietary storage expansion has now shown up on the Microsoft Store, so we have a little more detail and another place to order one from.

Having seen Best Buy put up US preorders at $220, we were hoping that would mean a UK cost of around £180, in line with leaks from earlier this week. However, this extra storage will seemingly cost a little extra cash for folks outside the US — it's £220 in the UK and €240 in Europe.

If the price doesn't put you off (it's not too bad a deal for a bespoke SSD, to be honest), you can get your preorder in right here.

The Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S delivers an additional 1TB of external memory while maintaining the same peak speed and performance as the console's internal SSD.
