Over on the latest Xbox Wire post, by Jonathon Stebel, communications manager for Sega of America, says, "it is hard to believe that it has been less than a year since we announced that Yakuza was finally coming to Xbox. We here at Sega have been absolutely thrilled to see how receptive the Xbox community has been for the releases of Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2... That’s why we’re happy to be completely taking over this weekend’s Free Play Days!"

It is a good introduction to the series, especially as Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which launches with the Xbox Series X|S on November 10th. However, all three are seriously chunky games, and one weekend doesn't seem nearly enough time for all three games. Yakuza 0 alone has an estimated completion time of 150-200 hours, with both Yakuza Kiwami titles pegged at 60-80 hours. According to Stebel, even if you "don’t sleep or take any breaks at all, or rush as fast as possible through each of the games’ critical paths while skipping every cutscene," it would be near impossible. "But that’s not what Yakuza is about. Each game is dense with things to do, and you can easily spend over a hundred hours in a single game without realizing it. Take your time, see the sights, and enjoy everything the games have to offer – we guarantee you’ll have a good time." All three games are rated over 4.2/5 by the TA community, so they're more than worth trying out over the weekend.

Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be available to play until October 4th.
