Echoes of Valhalla podcast announced ahead of Valhalla launch

By Heidi Nicholas,
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now only five weeks away, and Ubisoft is preparing for the lead up to launch with a new podcast, Echoes of Valhalla. The podcast consists of five episodes in which comedians and historical experts team up to tell "the story of the Vikings."

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

All five episodes are already out on Spotify, and each is only around 15 minutes long. Episode 1, titled The Sons of the Great North, covers their "way of life, customs, and beliefs," which sounds like a lot to pack in to 16 minutes. Episode 2, Dragon of the Seas, has you "embark on a Viking ship, travel the seas, overcome huge waves, and dodge lightning," while Episode 3, Thor's Hammer, covers the quest to conquer England. Episode 4, Birth of an Empire, is set ten years after the conquest, and covers trade, settling, and the continuing resistance from some factions within England. The last episode, The Dawn of a New Era, looks at the possibility of discovering new lands.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla was a no-show at the last Ubisoft Forward digital event, but just last week we had a new story trailer with new details about Eivor's brother Sigurd, Eivor's character, and how the hidden blade comes to be in the game. Assassin's Creed Valhalla launches in five weeks, on November 10th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
