Microsoft Bingo servers to close in April 2021

By Sean Carey,
It's a sad day. Microsoft Casual Games Studio has announced that it will no longer be supporting Microsoft Bingo, and servers for the game will close on April 5th, 2021.

Microsoft Bingo server closure

A post over on the Microsoft Casual Games FAQ page reads, "After careful consideration and months of internal discussion, Microsoft Casual Games Studio has made the difficult decision to no longer support Microsoft Bingo as of April 5th, 2021. It is with deep regret that after seven years we are unable to dedicate the necessary resources to continue providing this beloved game experience."

Microsoft Bingo was delisted from the Microsoft Store back in September, so if you don't already own the game, you won't be able to download it. The purchasing and earning of in-game tickets and coins has also been disabled.

Current players will be able to continue playing up until April 5th, 2021 to mop up any remaining achievements you might have left to unlock. After that date, the entire list will be discontinued. Microsoft Bingo is available on Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows Phone 8 with separate achievement lists, although you'll probably have a tough time trying to complete the game on Windows Phone due to achievement syncing issues.

Servers for Microsoft Bingo will close on April 5th, 2021.
