Microsoft wants to bring Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming to console and PC

By Sean Carey,
According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, Microsoft wants to bring Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming, or Project xCloud as it was formerly known, to both console and PC in the future.

Spencer replied to a tweet asking about the possibility of the cloud streaming service being made available on the two platforms. Spencer said that bringing Cloud Gaming to console and PC is on the "long list" of things the xCloud team is working on, although it's not a priority. Currently, Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming is only available on Android devices.

Earlier this year, Microsoft employees began testing Cloud Gaming for Windows 10, so it's possible that the PC version of the service might not be too far off from a public rollout. Opening the feature to those on PC would mean that more people without a dedicated gaming device could access the Xbox Game Pass library. Heck, even those on iOS might finally be able to try out game streaming.

The Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming beta launched last month with over 150 playable games.
