Vote now for November 2020's TA Playlist game

By The TA Playlist Team,
While we spend October fighting a necromorph outbreak and living in Isaac’s nightmares in Dead Space 2, we must also task you all with choosing the TA Playlist game for November.

This month, we’ve decided to team up with the staff members of the Game Info team here on TA, as well as those on our sister site TrueTrophies. For better or for worse, we gave them pretty much free reign over the theme for the month, as well as what games were to be nominated.
The GI team was very insistent that we highlight their choice of theme!

Without further ado, the theme for the month is: “Games that Prominently Feature Toilets.”

Your choices of game for the TA Playlist for the month of November are as follows:

South Park: The Fractured but Whole

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is the first of this month's offerings. With this theme, it would have been impossible to ignore the South Park games!

The Fractured but Whole is an RPG that was published and developed by Ubisoft and was originally released back in 2017.

The Fractured but Whole is an RPG set in the eponymous town with all the characters from the South Park TV series. The whole game is set the day after the events of the first game, South Park: The Stick of Truth. Once again, you play as the New Kid, who after saving the town in the fantasy war of the previous game, finds out that superheroes are now the chosen game. You join them, and Cartman (as The Coon) will create a tragic backstory, just for you.

The New Kid becomes embroiled in a war waged between two superhero factions; Coon and Friends and the Freedom Pals, both of which are trying to create their own superhero media franchises. In doing so, they all unintentionally uncover a conspiracy to raise crime in the town, bringing them into conflict with supervillains, genetically engineered monsters, the police, crime families, and a new kingpin of crime.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole holds an impressive 4.42 out of 5.00 rating here on TA. It’s been started by just under 71,000 users on-site and is estimated to take 20-25 hours to complete. You’ll find the usual style of South Park humour through the entire game, with a very specific focus on toilets!

Hitman 2

Hitman 2 is a stealth game developed by IO Interactive, first released in 2018.

Hitman 2 is Similar to the first game and follows Agent 47 through another series of episodic missions, sending you all over the world, to places such as Colombia, Mumbai, Miami and the Maldives, to kill a series of high-profile criminal targets in increasingly creative ways.

Stealth is generally key; however, you can play each mission multiple times, follow stories and opportunities and find some interesting hidden features as well. Importantly, the toilet is a deadly weapon, among many other weapons, gadgets and items that you can interact with to stealthily kill your targets (or simply anyone who gets in your way, if you’re that way inclined).

Hitman 2 holds an equally as impressive 4.54 out of 5.00 rating here on TA. It’ll take multiple playthroughs to master each level, and each episode is only predicted to take 3-8 hours to complete; however, there are lots of episodes. Just under 42,000 of you have played it so far, with only 3% of that number who have completed it.

BioShock Infinite

BaS 3

Bioshock Infinite is first-person shooter, originally developed by Irrational Games, but remastered and re-released by Blind Squirrel Games as part of the BioShock Collection.

Set in the year 1912, you play as the main protagonist Booker DeWitt, who is sent to the airborne city of Columbia to find a young woman, Elizabeth, who has been held captive there for most of her life. While doing so, you become embroiled in a war between the two factions in the city, the Founder and the Vox Populi. During this war, you discover the strange powers that Elizabeth has and uncover the dark secrets of the city.

Importantly, there are several toilets spread through Columbia (luckily), and you even have the ability to flush them. Be sure to check each toilet stall too, as you may find some hidden loot. On the note of achievements, completing the 1999 difficulty is certainly a challenge, and there are the usual collectables for the BioShock series that help flesh out the story of Columbia and its inhabitants.

BioShock Infinite is also highly rated by the TA community, with an average score of 4.5 out of 5.0. Just under 42,000 of you have played the Xbox One edition; however, over 203,000 have played the original Xbox 360 version. It takes roughly 25-30 hours to complete, or 40-50 with the DLC.
If BioShock Infinite wins the Playlist vote, you can play any version of it. All versions will count as long as you pop at least one achievement.

Left 4 Dead 2

l4d2

Left 4 Dead 2 is the final toilet-related game that you can choose to vote for in the November Playlist. L4D2 is a survival horror game that was developed by Valve and originally released way back in 2009.

Left 4 Dead 2 is set in the aftermath of a worldwide pandemic of an infectious disease that has transformed and mutated much of the human race into zombies, known as the infected. You can play as one of four new characters: Coach, Ellis, Nick or Rochelle, who are immune to the disease and must fight their way through areas filled with infected to reach safe zones. Work cooperatively in the campaign with other players (or the AI) to help each other survive the apocalypse and reach each safe zone.

However, if you like a bit more of a challenge, head into Versus, and pit your skills against other players, who control several special infected, each with unique abilities, specially designed for killing the survivors.

Left 4 Dead 2 currently has a rating of 4.19 out of 5.00 here on TA and has an estimated completion time of 20-25 hours, with an additional 10 or so hours in DLC. Just under 216,000 people have L4D2 on their tag, with a mere 4% completing it.

We look forward to seeing what toilet-related game you’ll be choosing to play in November, so get your votes in!
Once again, a huge thank you to the Game Info team here on TA, as well as those on TT for providing us with the game choices this month. This is a feature we want to repeat in the future with other teams, so we hope you enjoy it!

The TA Playlist is a monthly community event. Everyone votes on which of four games to play, and then we all play through it in the following month. There's a dedicated hub to discuss everything about the game, from story beats to gameplay tips – and of course, you can track your achievement progress during the month as well. TA Playlist was created by Mark Delaney and is now run by Miles, Nici and Chewie.
