Manifold Garden to launch as next-gen timed exclusive upgrade for Xbox Series X|S

By Heidi Nicholas,
The free next-gen upgrade for Manifold Garden will be a timed exclusive release for the Xbox Series X|S, releasing alongside the consoles as a launch title on November 10th. The upgrade is free via Smart Delivery, and will offer 4K Ultra HD.

As per the Manifold Garden FAQ, the Xbox Series X version of the game will run at 4K and 60FPS and is an "extremely impressive version of the game," while the Xbox Series S runs at 1440p and "the same high settings and framerate as the Series X version."

Manifold Garden launched for PCs back in 2019, and only launched for consoles a few months ago, in August 2020. It's described as a game that "reimagines the laws of physics." You essentially bring life and plants back into an empty world, through exploration and experimentation. "Rediscover gravity and explore a beautiful Escher-esque world of impossible architecture. Geometry repeats infinitely in every direction, and falling down leads you back to where you started. Manipulate gravity to change your perspective and see the world in new ways. Master the rules of the universe and restore a barren world with vegetation and life." Manifold Garden already looks pretty beautiful, so it will no doubt be an impressive launch title for the Xbox Series X.

The upgraded version of Manifold Garden launches alongside the Xbox Series X|S on November 10th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
