Assassin's Creed Valhalla has now gone gold

By Heidi Nicholas,
We're nearing the end of 2020 and November, the month of all things next-gen, is getting rapidly closer. Just to build the hype even further, Ubisoft has now confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla has gone gold ahead of its launch on November 10th.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla goes gold

"We're extremely proud to share that Assassin's Creed Valhalla has gone gold!" Ubisoft says. "On behalf of everyone working on the game, we can't wait to see how your own Viking saga unfolds."

Just yesterday, we had a whole wave of new information on the game with over seven minutes of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla deep-dive trailer, where we saw the game's gorgeous graphics, more about its characters, and what Eivor will be up to in England. We also saw how the game will mix historical aspects with myth and legend. Eivor travels from Norway to the kingdoms of England, but will also "leap beyond" to the realms of Asgard and Jotunheim, and will wield the legendary sword Excalibur.

Aside from combat and stealth, Assassin's Creed Valhalla looks as though it will let you live out your Viking life with drinking, feasts, and dice games. Plus, with its focus on the Vikings as settlers as well as warriors, Eivor will be looking to build up their own hub, Ravensthorpe, with a blacksmith, tattooist, shipyard, and even a Hidden One's Bureau.

It's a good sign that Assassin's Creed Valhalla is on track for release now the game's gone gold, meaning a master copy of the game has been made, and we have under a month until Eivor's journey can begin on November 10th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
