Hyper Scape's Halloween event adds two limited time modes and a night mode for the map

By Heidi Nicholas,
The Halloween events are starting to roll on in. Following on from the news that Rocket League's Ghostbuster Halloween event starts today, now Hyper Scape gets its first big themed event. The Halloween event starts today, October 20th, and runs for the next two weeks until November 3rd, with new cosmetics, two limited-time modes, and a Halloween makeover for Neo Arcadia.

Crown Rush Solo will arrive as the first limited-time mode, followed later by Dark Haze Squad, while the Crown Rush Squad mode will be playable throughout. Crown Rush Solo sees the whole map in night mode, and introduces the Second Chance feature, allowing you to return from the dead. Not as a zombie or anything, but sent back to the deployment pods instead of being eliminated. According to a press release, Dark Haze Squad then kicks off on October 27th, covering the city in fog. There won't be a Crown, you won't be able to see much, and your arsenal has been "reduced to a selection of weapons and hacks," requiring new tactics to win.

The trailer above shows a glimpse of several Halloween cosmetics and Champion outfits, with more to be found in the in-game store along with new deployment pods and new weapon skins. Ubisoft is pretty light on details about Hyper Scape's Halloween event, but we'll presumably learn more when the event goes live today.
