It appears that it's time for the old Tanner vs. Jericho grudge match to rear its ugly, yet awesome, head again when the latest iteration in the renowned Driver series races onto the Xbox 360 soon.

The first developer diary for Driver: San Francisco sees the rivalry reignited as undercover cop, Tanner and his nemesis, Charles Jericho, go head-to-head to exact revenge on one another. Several members of the development team from Ubisoft Reflections have been cornered to give their impressions on the franchise going "Back To The Roots".

Earlier this month, another trailer was released for the open-world driving title. Shortly prior to that, the Collector's Edition was unveiled.

Officially announced at E3 2010, Driver: San Francisco was delayed, then delayed again and is now scheduled for release on August 30th and September 2nd, 2011 in the US and Europe respectively.
