Watch Dogs: Legion patch should fix some of those Xbox One crashing issues

By Sean Carey,
Ubisoft is rolling out a patch to all Xbox One users for Watch Dogs: Legion that should improve the game's stability and fix the crashing issues some players have been facing.

Since the game's launch, Xbox One players have been running into numerous problems regarding the game's stability. In our review, we noted that Legion crashed several times while playing on an Xbox One S, resulting in a loss of unsaved progress. Other players have also come across this same crash bug, and when Ubisoft released a patch last week, things only got worse. Players who weren't experiencing stability issues in the first place began reporting that Legion would consistently crash after about 10 minutes of playtime.

According to the Update TU2.10 patch notes, Ubisoft says it's "taking an incremental approach to deploying stability fixes." The developer also says that this patch will improve the game's stability and address many of the crashes Xbox One players have been experiencing.

TU2.10 patch notes

Xbox One

  • Resource optimization improvements for User Interface, Textures, and AI that decrease crashes occurring during gameplay.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash when exiting to the main menu.
  • General stability improvements for the in-game areas “Carousel Plaza”, “Slaughterhouse” and “Tower of London”.

Global

  • Fixed an issue that caused “Doomed” Operatives to immediately meet their doom after recruitment. What do we say to the god of death?
  • Fixed an issue that caused highly reflective clothes to appear as black in the Team App.
Update TU2.10 is available to download now. With any luck, Xbox One players should now be able to play through the game without any crashes. Let us know in the comments if you're still running into problems.
