Dead by Daylight devs acknowledge issues with loading into games on the Xbox Series X|S

By Heidi Nicholas,
A number of players have reported experiencing issues with Dead by Daylight on the Xbox Series X|S, such as crashes and freezing problems. The devs have acknowledged the issues and say they're giving it their "fullest attention."

Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight launched alongside the Xbox Series X|S on November 10th with graphical updates as part of the Realm Beyond project. However, a large number of players on the Dead by Daylight forums and Dead by Daylight subreddit have since posted about seeing it freeze up or crash when trying to load into a game, leaving them unable to play it.

Developer Behaviour Interactive has been quick to respond and acknowledge these issues, with an update on the game's forums to say, "We are aware that some of our players are currently having issues in loading into games on the Xbox Series X|S - please rest assured that this issue is being given our fullest attention and we appreciate your patience. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused."

When these issues are sorted, Dead by Daylight should run at 4K 60fps on the Xbox Series X, followed by further graphical updates to lighting, VFX, textures, models, animation, and more. The devs are well aware of the current issues, so if you're currently unable to play the game, hopefully it won't be too long before we see a fix. In the meantime, make sure to check our list of every optimised day one release for Xbox Series X|S so that you can carry on seeing just what your shiny new next-gen console is capable of.
