12 Minutes, The Artful Escape, and Last Stop are now expected to launch in 2021

By Heidi Nicholas,
Annapurna Interactive announced that several of its games have been pushed back to 2021: interactive thriller 12 Minutes, action-adventure The Artful Escape, and narrative adventure game Last Stop. We still don't have more specific release dates, but the good news is that the games seem to be in the end stages of development, as publishers Annapurna added "that they've all come together throughout the year and it's pretty much polishing at this point!"

12 Minutes

First up is 12 Minutes, an interactive thriller where you have to solve your own murder. You play a husband, stuck in a 12-minute time loop and witnessing the same events over and over again as a police officer breaks into your house, accuses your wife of murder, and then kills you. It stars Willem Dafoe, James McAvoy, and Daisy Ridley, and tasks you with learning a little bit more each time the loop plays, in order to escape it entirely.

The Artful Escape

Developers Beethoven & Dinosaur describe The Artful Escape as a more "psychedelic" action-adventure game. "On the eve of his first performance, Francis Vendetti battles with the legacy of a dead folk legend and the cosmic wanderings of his own imagination. Francis, a teenage guitar prodigy, sets out on a psychedelic, multidimensional journey to inspire his stage persona."

Last Stop

The Last Stop is a single-player third-person narrative adventure game set in London. The devs say it's an "anthology drama" where you "play as three separate characters whose worlds collide in the midst of a supernatural crisis."

These are three wildly different games, and now that they're all rescheduled for 2021, it looks like we've got quite a bit to look forward to from Annapurna Interactive next year.
