CrossfireX has been delayed into 2021

By Sean Carey,
CrossfireX, the upcoming competitive first-person shooter being developed by both Smilegate and Remedy Entertainment, has been delayed into 2021.

CrossfireX was down for a 2020 launch, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacting the Smilegate development team, the game has now been pushed back. Smilegate is responsible for CrossfireX's free-to-play multiplayer while Remedy Entertainment is developing the game's campaign. Smilegate says that moving back the release date "will allow us to deliver the Crossfire experience on console our team set out to create."

When CrossfireX releases in 2021, it will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The CrossfireX team says it will be sharing more on the game in the future.
