Red Dead Online will become available as a standalone game next week

By Heidi Nicholas,
Rockstar has shared two big pieces of news for Red Dead Online: firstly on how RDO will soon be available as a standalone game, and secondly on the new Bounty Hunters expansion.

Red Dead Online

First up: from December 1st, Red Dead Online will be available on the Microsoft Store as a standalone game. Until February 15th, 2021, it will also be on offer for $4.99, which Rockstar says is a 75% discount. You will still need Xbox Live Gold to play, and the Xbox One version of Red Dead Online will be available via backward compatibility on the Xbox Series X. You'll need up to 123GB of disk space to download it.

Also arriving next week is an expansion to the Bounty Hunter role, with new criminals, "Prestigious level equipment and skills to unlock across ten more Bounty Hunter ranks," new Legendary Bounties, and an Outlaw Pass with 100 Ranks. For the rest of this week, meanwhile, you can earn double XP in all Bounty Hunter and A Land of Opportunity missions and extra RDO$ and XP for Posses.
