Warner Bros. Games has clarified which achievements will be discontinued in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition when the games' online servers close on December 31st.
When WB Games announced the servers for Shadow of Mordor's Vendetta missions and leaderboards would soon be closed, it was believed that just the Repaid in Blood achievement from both games would be discontinued. As it turns out, two more achievements from each game will also be unavailable to unlock after December 31st.
WB Games support clarified to TA community member NessNoldo saying that both the Lord of the Ring achievement and the Hunt is my Mistress achievement require the game's online leaderboards to unlock and would be discontinued after the server shutdown.
Both of these achievements look to be fairly tough and require you to complete certain objectives within strict time limits. Luckily, we have some great achievement guides for those here on TA, so it's worth checking those out if you haven't unlocked them already. If you own the standard edition of Shadow of Mordor, you'll need the game's two add ons: Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord — both of which can be picked up for $9.99/£7.99/€9.99. Alternatively, you can pick up the Shadow of Mordor season pass for $24.99/£19.99/€24.99.
As a reminder, the Repaid in Blood achievement, which asks players to complete a Vendetta mission will also be discontinued.
Servers for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition will close on December 31st, 2020.
Thanks to everyone who informed of us about the update and to
