Halo Infinite rumours "unfounded," says 343 Industries

By Sean Carey,
Over the past couple of days, you may have seen a few Halo Infinite rumours doing the rounds. These rumours claimed that the next entry into the Halo franchise would feature a battle royale mode and spoke about a possible release window. Now, Halo's community director has stepped in to call these rumours "unfounded."

In a series of tweets, 343 Industries community director Brian Jarrard shut down the latest batch of rumours before saying he is aware that 343 could combat rumours and false information with "real news." Jarrard goes on to say that the team is putting together a year-end update.

This isn't the first time the studio has had to come out and shut down rumours surrounding Halo Infinite. Back in August, Halo's community manager had to step in and put to bed fake "leaks" which suggested the Master Chief's next outing would not be coming to Xbox One.

In recent weeks, 343 Industries has addressed fans saying that their questions will be answered and has promised a high-level update before the end of the year. It's unclear what this update will entail, but hopefully, we'll get a potential release window and more information on the game that will appease fans.
