Microsoft Flight Simulator's latest update adds real-time snow

By Heidi Nicholas,
The latest update for Asobo Studio's Microsoft Flight Simulator is available now and adds real-time snow to the game. Check out the trailer below:

Microsoft Flight Simulator has already been praised for its incredible level of detail — Sean thought it "a truly remarkable and beautiful aviation simulation" in his Microsoft Flight Simulator review — and with the trailer for this new update giving us glimpses of snow-covered plains and cities, it now looks even more realistic. At the moment, Microsoft Flight Simulator is only available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, but the game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass in the summer this year, marking the first time Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available on a console.

The game has already had several updates since its launch last year. Most recently, it was made fully playable in VR, but before that there was a big update focused on points of interest and airports in the UK, a USA update adding new airports, and a major update based around Japan.

Console players can try out Microsoft Flight Simulator when it arrives for Xbox Series X|S and is added to Xbox Game Pass in the summer.
