Bethesda's MachineGames is now an Indy developer

By Sean Carey,
Bethesda has announced a new Indiana Jones game that's being developed by Wolfenstein studio MachineGames and will be executive produced by Todd Howard in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

A very brief teaser trailer was uploaded to the Bethesda Twitter account that shows various adventuring paraphernalia before revealing Indiana Jones' iconic hat and whip.

A follow-up tweet from Bethesda confirms that MachineGames, responsible for the Wolfenstein titles such as Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, will be leading development. The game will be executive produced by none other than Todd Howard in partnership with Lucasfilm Games. "It'll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news," said Bethesda.

Other than those very brief details, we don't know anything else about this new game. It will be interesting to see what MachineGames can do with the Indiana Jones IP, but seeing as the developer has struck gold with the Wolfenstein series time and time again, we imagine that Indy's next adventure is in capable hands.
