Fall Guys Twitter account debunks Xbox Game Pass rumour

By Sean Carey,
Recently, you may have seen a rumour that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout could be on its way to Xbox Game Pass. Unfortunately, the Fall Guys team has now debunked that rumour.

The Xbox UK Twitter account asked users to interact with one of its tweets to receive a recommendation of an Xbox Game Pass title to play based on their profile. The tweet received hundreds of replies, including one from the Fall Guys Twitter asking, "Can I play?" This tweet raised a few eyebrows, and the internet began speculating that one of the biggest gaming hits of 2020 would be joining the Xbox Game Pass library soon.

As it turns out, the Fall Guys Twitter account just wanted to get in on the fun. When asked if Fall Guys was coming to Game Pass, the person behind the account replied, "No, I just wanted to see what game I'd get." Further context was provided by Fall Guys community director Oliver Hindle on his personal Twitter account (thanks, Redlon1992):

There you have it. Fall Guys isn't joining Xbox Game Pass, well, at least not in the near future anyway.

If you don't know much about Fall Guys, it's a multiplayer game where up to 60 players battle through various obstacles and compete in crazy mini-games to avoid elimination and be crowned the winner. The game came sixth in the TrueTrophies Game of the Year results and picked up the Most Original Trophy of the Year award.
