Hogwarts Legacy delayed into 2022

By Sean Carey,
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Software have announced that Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed into 2022.

In a very brief statement posted on Twitter, the Hogwarts Legacy team said, "Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us, so we are giving the game the time it needs."

Hogwarts Legacy was announced during Sony's PS5 showcase and was slated for a 2021 release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. The game is set in the 1800s, long before Mr Potter and the gang showed up. You play as a student of Hogwarts who "holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart." You'll explore the iconic Hogwarts castle, take part in lessons, discover fantastic beasts, and customise your own character in the single-player action-RPG.

Hogwarts Legacy will now launch in 2022.
