Microsoft has confirmed that tomorrow (July 6th), Sky Player will be relaunched as Sky Go.
Although new terms and conditions will have to be agreed, there will be no change to the service requirements of a Sky subscription and Xbox LIVE Gold account. The service will be temporarily unavailable from midnight tonight, and will return in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Back in September, Microsoft announced more then one million users had downloaded the Sky application since its introduction in 2009. The service, which is fully Kinect compatible, allows users to watch Sky TV without the need of a satellite dish and is available in the UK only.
