Hitman 3 DLC in the works, will "reimagine" existing locations from the trilogy

Developer IO Interactive is currently working on post-launch content for Hitman 3, but don't go expecting a new location anytime soon.

Hitman 3 review

Speaking to The Gamer, executive producer Forest Swartout Large confirmed that the developer hasn't downed tools on Hitman 3 just yet and that DLC content is in the works. "We’re continuously working on Hitman, so we are already looking to the future," Large said. "We are definitely going to be doing some DLC, but we haven’t defined what that is. I think for now we are not looking at new maps like the bank and the island.

"We’re more looking at using existing locations and reimagining them, twisting them. And this time around, we can use the whole trilogy. We can look back at Hitman 2016 maps, Hitman 2 maps - we have all the locations."

As The Gamer notes, it sounds like we'll be getting more things like Escalation contracts and maybe Elusive Targets from locations across the Hitman trilogy, but all playable in Hitman 3.

IO Interactive's CTO Maurizio de Pascale previously said that the developer sees Hitman 3 as a "live game" and that the game's launch is the "beginning of a journey." De Pascale also said that new features are on their way including ray tracing support for Xbox Series X|S consoles.
