Watch Dogs: Legion to get crossplay in future update

By Sean Carey,
Ubisoft has confirmed that crossplay and cross-gen play are heading to Watch Dogs: Legion's online mode in a future update.

In a reply on Twitter, the official Watch Dogs account said that while crossplay and cross-gen-play between two consoles in the same family aren't supported, the development team is working on bringing the feature "to the game with a later update."

Although there's no hint of a timeline, this news will surely be welcomed by those who have been exploring the game's new online mode. Watch Dogs: Legion Online launched last week, allowing players to team up and explore a semi-futuristic London. Tactical Ops — a major game mode in Watch Dogs: Legion Online — was delayed until the end of March after Ubisoft identified an issue with the co-op mode.

Ubisoft says that throughout the year, Legion players can expect a new Invasion PvP mode, more co-op missions, free characters, and more in future updates.

While no new achievements were added with the game's most recent update, Ubisoft says it hasn't ruled out adding to Legion's achievement list in the future.
