Battletoads developer Dlala Studios hiring 2D artists for a "much-loved established IP"

By Tom West,
Battletoads developer Dlala Studios is looking to hire a 2D environment artist and a 2D VFX artist to work on a new project involving an established IP.

Dlala Studios is the team behind the recent re-imagining of Battletoads, which we gave a very respectable score of 4/5 in our official review. It looks like the team have their sights on a new IP to revive, with advertisements for a 2D environment artist and a 2D VFX artist. The news comes via industry analyst MauroNL, saying that the studio is looking for artists to use the Unity Engine. “An exciting new project with a much-loved established IP,” is the key point in the advertisements. We will be watching this closely and let you know as soon as we have any information regarding this new project.

It’s always fun to speculate about unannounced IPs, so we thought we would jump in on the action before you do in the comments. The studio’s recent work on Battletoads alongside Rare would certainly make a Conker reboot a good possibility, with Dlala’s sense of humour and wit lending themselves nicely to the red squirrel’s personality. Of course, Dlala Studios has also worked with Disney in the past, leading us to think that there’s a good chance of an old Disney property showing its face. What much-loved IP would you like to see get the re-imagined treatment like Battletoads did? Let us know down below!
